Perreo 101 Instrumental Album Executive Produced by Katelina ‘La Gata’ Eccleston, released on July 17th 2024 is an 11-track project co-produced by some of the industry’s finest: Multi-Platinum and Latin GRAMMY® award winning Pamela Velez, GRAMMY® Award winning Randy Class, RIAA Award Winning Big Chriss Y Draco, Jaby Vibes and internationally renowned Historian and Musicologist La Gata. Since its debut, Perreo 101 has been featured editorially in TIDAL, Latinidad Collective, LA Times, and Remezcla.

The Perreo 101 Instrumental Album is a carefully curated ethnomusicology project, directly complimenting the Perreo 101® Podcast, the first bilingual podcast in English and Spanish that set off a cultural tidal wave in Reggaeton History storytelling since its initial release in 2018. It was created in the hope of sparking a global conversation on the intellectual significance of Reggaeton, and has successfully thus far.

PAMELA VELEZ


Pamela Velez is a Recording, Mixing Engineer and Producer Based in Miami, Florida.  Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Senior Engineer in Miami’s A2F Studios. Latin Grammy Winning, 7x Latin Grammy Nominee, Platinum Recording Engineer. Pamela Velez is (1/2) director of multi-cultural artist incubator, A2F Latin; latin division of independent record label Addicted 2 F.A.M.E.









RANDY CLASS

Randy Class is 4x Grammy nominated singer/songwriter/producer who has written songs for Maleigh Zan, Shaggy, Shawn Mendes, Maria Becerra, SAFE, and Selena Gomez, Tainy & NEON16 (Jbalvin, Bad bunny, Ozuna), and is one of Diamond Producer Needlz Hand Picked Songwriters (Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Jeremih) to name a few. His creativity is dually represented with his ability to sing and write in Spanish as well as English. Born in The Dominican Republic and raised in TH BRONX, the birthplace of Hip Hop and being surrounded by Merengue and Bachata, Soul music and R&B, Reggaeton all lent it self to molding his creative palette. Randy jaywalks on a myriad of musical influences; pop driven melodies, paired with substantive lyrics, fueled by elements of Spanish soul allow Randy to fully immerse any listener into his classic, timeless  lyricism and sound.



BIG CHRISS Y DRACO

Luis Santiago Neris Martinez Better Known As Big Chriss Prod And Franklyn Suero Better Known As Draco Deviille Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Since childhood they have always had a taste for music and entered the  professional realm in 2010. In collaboration, they have collaborated with local and international artists such as El Alfa, Farruko, Don Omar, Fother, Bulova, Yomel, Quimico Ultramega, Lapiz Conciente, Bad Bunny, Arcangel among others.



JABY VIBES

John Michael Zapata Sanchez is a Dominican American audio engineer and singer/songwriter. Since his adolescence John, or JABY VIBES began to compose his own songs and embark on the journey of music production and social entrepreneurship as a means to assert his own musical autonomy and help others. Today he is the proud co-owner of Dojo Vibes, a full music-production studio in Boston, MA.

Katelina ‘La Gata’ Eccleston is an American executive producer, DJ, Historian, And Multimedia artist of Panamanian-Jamaican descent. raised in Boston, MA with a profound love for reggaeton. The 31 year old multimedia visionary is passionate about humanistic perspectives and professionally adding a semblance of it to all of her various projects. Through her Perreo 101® lectures, she has been at the forefront of Reggaeton education from Harvard, Dartmouth, NYU, Brooklyn College, McMaster University, Fordham, Stanford And Many more.Her work has shifted the culture, inspired multimillion dollar projects and bridged the gap between Academia, the Latin Music Industry and Reggaeton.
